Interview with Clint Chao – Moment Ventures Co-Founder

“What we try to do is work with entrepreneurs to create a good ‘moment’ of force to help them with these early stages of being an entrepreneur and a founder. [It’s] not an easy journey and it’s nice to have a partner to be able to go through it with them. That’s what I aspire to do.” —On today’s episode of The Irresistible Factor, I am excited to be joined by Clint Chao, Co-Founder of Moment Ventures; an early-stage technology venture capital firm based out of Palo Alto, California.  Moment Ventures invests in companies and entrepreneurs who are building next-generation technology solutions to help with things like distribution, logistics and managing, and getting products on the shelves of a wide range of retailers. One of the innovative companies Moment Ventures has invested in is Pod Foods. Pod Foods uses software technology  to help early stage brands with the challenging process of  distribution. They are now helping thousands of brands get on store shelves through cutting-edge software. Clint tells us about his vision to reimagine work across every industry (including food and CPG) through the use of technology, and some of the exciting transformations he hopes to see over the course of the next decade. This is an episode you won’t want to miss! Listen to The Irresistible Factor’s Interview with Co-Founder, Clint Chao.  Here’s what you won’t want to miss from our conversation:

  • How innovative software is helping  small brands gain distribution with the best retailers
  • Why it’s sometimes  more important to talk about the problem you are trying to solve, rather than the product
  • Why consumers demand to see healthier products on the shelves of their retailers is leading to an overhaul of the outdated distribution process
  • The type of technology Moment is looking to invest in
